With the 'Lost Astronaut' project for Performa 09, Alicia Framis bought an original space suit and asked artists and writes to provide and instruction or script for each day of the fifteen day performance. Normally with a performance the artists decides what will happen. Framis didnt' want that; she felt it was not very interesting for her so she invited others to give her assignements.

During the research Framis was doing for the project, she discoverd that a lot was still unknown about living on the Moon, and that triggered her interest. For instance, what is life like in a house with (almost) no gravity? What will space fashion look like?
