This neon is related to Yael Bartana's experimental theater and film project 'What If Women Ruled the World' premiered at the Manchester International Festival in 2017. Following Kubrick's sexist prophesy at the end of Dr. Strangelove (1964), of a surviving nucleus of male leaders repopulating the earth, this project imagines the opposite: What if women ruled the world? Addressing a new emergency scenario every day - issues of security and defense, mass migration, climate change - eleven leading actors are joined during each session by a different group of experts. Female scientists, politicians, and thinkers spend an evening in Dr. Strangelove's war room trying to solve the emergency before it's too late. 9From: 'Yael Bartana', exhibition catalogue Musée cantonal des Beaux-Arts Lausanne, jrp|ringier 2017)
